Cancellation policy

User Cancellation & Refunds
- Full Refund (including platform fee):
- If the user cancels more than 7 days before the reservation.
- The user receives a 100% refund of the total amount paid.
- 70% Refund:
- If the user cancels between 7 days and 4 days (96 hours) before the reservation.
- The platform fee is not refunded.
- 50% Refund:
- If the user cancels between 4 days (96 hours) and 48 hours before the reservation.
- The platform fee is not refunded.
- No Refund:
- If the user cancels within 48 hours of the reservation.
Chef-Initiated Cancellations
If the chef cancels any confirmed reservation:
- User receives a 100% refund (including the platform fee).
- Chef receives no payout.
- User may rebook another chef.
*Repeated chef cancellations may affect chef account visibility.*
After Cancellation
When a booking is cancelled:
- The reservation closes.
- Chat becomes read-only.
- Planning tools and guest list are disabled.
- The chef's availability for that date and time reopens instantly.
- Any applicable refund is processed automatically based on this policy.
