Can I book a private chef anywhere in the world?
Yes. Paladar is available worldwide. Tell us your city and event and our team matches you with a chef who can cook at your home, villa or venue — even if your location is not listed yet.
How does the Paladar request flow work?
Describe your event in a few steps: service type, location, dates and times, guests, event type, culinary preferences and budget. Our team reviews your request and connects you with matching chefs, who then propose their menus.
How much does a private chef cost?
Chefs set their own prices and publish them per guest — dish by dish, alongside their services, venues and table enhancements — so you can build your perfect combination and see the cost per person update as you choose. You can also receive a tailored proposal from the chef for your event. Guests pay securely in the app, and Paladar charges chefs 0% commission.
How long can I book a chef?
From a single dinner to a full-time placement. Book a one-off event, several dates, or a resident chef for weeks or months — some chefs even let you schedule multiple dates directly on their listing. If you need something more bespoke, our request service will match you with the right chef.
Can I book a private chef for corporate events or for my business?
Yes. You can book a private chef or request gastronomic services for your business, from client dinners and team celebrations to larger company events. Book directly through the platform, or send us a request and we will match you with the right chef.
Can I book a chef who is based outside my country?
Yes. Chefs can make themselves available to work anywhere. When a chef travels to you, the guest pays an additional non-refundable location fee that covers the chef's travel and logistics, and the whole process is handled seamlessly in the app.
How far in advance should I request?
We recommend more notice for larger celebrations or holidays. Short-notice requests are welcome — we will always tell you what is possible.
Can you handle dietary requirements and allergies?
Yes. Share your preferences and allergies in the request and chefs design menus around them — vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, halal and more.
What happens after I send my request?
Our team reviews it and matches you with chefs. You receive proposals with menus and prices, and once you choose, you confirm and pay securely. You can also continue in the Paladar app.
When I book an event, how are invoices processed?
Paladar automatically invoices you for its platform fee, based on the invoicing details you provide at checkout and payment. You can consult all of your platform-fee invoices on your invoices page, in the main menu. Invoices for the chef's own service are issued and managed solely by the chef — Paladar is not responsible for the chef's own activity or their financial obligations towards their clients, and vice versa. Paladar operates only as the digital facilitator that connects guests and chefs, and does not operate financially on behalf of anyone.
What happens if I need to cancel my reservation?
Cancellations follow the chef's own cancellation policy, which is applied automatically. Each chef defines their own terms and refund percentages, and you can read them on the chef's profile, on the experience page, at checkout and on the manage-reservation page.
What happens if the chef cancels?
Chef cancellations are extremely rare. If it does happen, you are refunded in full immediately, and our team helps you find an alternative chef so your event still goes ahead.
