Is Paladar really free for chefs?
Yes. Paladar is completely free to join, with no subscription or setup fee and 0% commission on your earnings. The platform is funded by a small service fee that guests pay at checkout.
How much commission does Paladar take?
None. You keep 100% of what you earn: quote €1,000 for a service and you receive €1,000. Paladar collects the payment from the guest and handles currency conversion, then transfers your full amount — no commission is deducted.
When and how do I get paid?
Payouts run securely through Stripe Connect. Once an experience is completed, your payment becomes available for direct payout to your bank account, normally 48 hours after the reservation.
Who decides the cancellation and refund policy?
You do. Choose a default Paladar template or define your own custom policy with refund percentages based on notice — for example, 100% refund up to 10 days before, 50% up to 5 days before, and no refund within 2 days.
Who is responsible for taxes and invoicing?
Paladar acts strictly as a technology marketplace intermediary. Each chef operates as an independent culinary professional or business and is responsible for their own tax compliance, invoicing and legal activity.
How are invoices handled for my services?
Paladar only invoices the guest for its platform fee. You invoice your own guests for your own service as an independent professional, and you remain solely responsible for your own activity and its financial obligations. Paladar is not responsible for your activity or your financial obligations towards your clients, and vice versa — Paladar operates only as the digital facilitator that connects guests and chefs, and does not operate financially on behalf of anyone.
Can I bring and manage my own clients?
Absolutely. Paladar works as your digital storefront: manage and book your existing clientele, while new guests browsing the marketplace can also discover and book you.
Do I need my own liability insurance?
Yes. Chefs operate as independent professional businesses and are responsible for maintaining their own hygiene standards, professional activity and liability insurance.
What is the Ambassador Chef program?
